Avid Surfer, Snowboarder, Mt Biker, Cyclist, Runner, and ex Navy Seal. Crossfit came to me by way of injury. I can almost thank the injury for introducing me to crossfit. I had hurt my back really bad in a hard landing in a helicopter back in 2003 and our navy physical therapist told me about it. I started digging around the net and found a few workouts and started doing them, working the full range of motion and started noticing my back pain was starting to lessen. For the next couple of years I was implementing it into my regular work outs and slowly it became my only workouts. Being a navy medic and helping people always made me feel good and being a trainer was something I had always been interested in but not having all the time in the world to get it done. After leaving the military, that was the first thing that was on my list and this is where I'm at today. I love crossfit kool aid and i'll continue to drink it and offer it to anyone who is striving to become better at life.

I also run, bike, snowboard, climb, play ultimate frisbee, and work for a local environmental consulting firm. Additionally, I enjoy tricking unsuspecting clients or trainers into completing the WOD for a third time in a given day, simply because my watch is "still running."

I have a strong belief that public safety employees lose the right to be un-fit when they raise their right hand and take the oath to protect the citizens of this great country. That being said, I am a creature of habit who loves margaritas, Jimmy Buffet, my two dogs, and anything that makes life just a little more enjoyable. I played soccer for Division 1 University of Utah, GO UTES! I have a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and a Masters Degree in Exercise Sport and Science from the University of Utah. I also compete in 1/2 marathons, 10k's, and 5k's. I enjoy skiing in the winter, and biking in the summer.
In addition to being an instructor at Salt Lake City Crossfit I personal train competitive youth soccer players, focusing not only on improving their individual skills, but optimizing their overall athletic talent.
